Merseyside Against Blood Cancers – The Bloom Appeal is looking to appoint a

Charity Manager / Salary negotiable / Permanent Contract (subject to a 6-month probationary period) / Part-time – 0.6 FTE (Home based, living in the Merseyside area)

This charity was established in 2014 by healthcare professionals, scientists, patients, and carers. The charity supports the care and well-being of patients through donating individual financial grants to those that need it. We fund and invest in scientific research into treating and curing blood cancers. We also fund training and education of healthcare professionals in this area.

Over the last few years our charity has grown, and we are now seeking to appoint a highly motivated and innovative thinker with excellent people and interpersonal skills to undertake this exciting new role of Operations/Charity Manager. The focus of the role is to ensure that the Board of Trustees’ strategic plan is delivered through the achievement of key objectives and income delivery.

The post holder will be home based living within the Merseyside area and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of operations, finance, digital platforms, and compliance to ensure the smooth running of the charity.

In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a fundraising plan. Taking the lead in organising community fundraising events, marketing the charity to external stakeholders, working with new and existing donors and bringing on board new sponsors for the charity.

The ideal candidate will show outstanding leadership and organisational skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
