On Thursday 2nd May, we held our annual fund and awareness raising lunch.
What a day! The sun came out to highlight the beautiful venue on the 5th floor of the Hope Street Hotel, where the food was delectable and the company a delight. Our MC for the day was no other than our Patron and local legend Roger Phillips who kept all 80 guests amused. During the day our wonderful Chair, Abi Pointing, along with our honorary President Prof Nagesh Kalakonda told guests of our achievements and of our aims for the future. Peter McCleave spoke poignantly about his blood cancer journey that led to him setting up 10,000 Donors.
The joy was brought by Paula and her team of real models from Sparkles Boutique in Garston. Huge thank you to Wong’s jewellers, for their presence and their very generous donation to our raffle, Thanks also to Chris and Joe from Soul and Sax for finishing off the day with a song and a smile. We here at the Bloom Appeal are so grateful to everyone who came and to those who supported us with raffle prizes and generous donations.
